This local, outdoor program with Encounter Sports is aimed towards younger athletes (boys and girls from Kindergarten to Grade 5) to give them opportunities to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship, and a love for the game of basketball. Players will develop their skills by participating and competing in various drills and activities. Our approach is focused on growth opportunities in all areas of the sport, including basketball, movement, mental, and life skills in alignment with Canada Basketball’s Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model.
Registration is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten to Grade 2, and Grades 3-5. Players will benefit from a low player-to-coach ratio to help them grow and develop, and parents are encouraged to stick around and participate if they would like. An age-appropriate sized basketball will be provided for each player to use during camp sessions. In the event of extreme weather, we will move indoors for a modified session.
