Where real life meets real sports.
At Encounter Sports, we believe in developing the whole athlete—mind, body, and spirit.
We believe in building better athletes and helping young people become stronger, more grounded individuals: emotionally, spiritually, and physically. The lessons, habits, skills, and passions learned through sport can shape how we live, and the way we live can shape the kind of athlete we become. This means that developing skills in sports isn’t just about physical mastery. It’s also about building character. It’s not only about becoming a better passer or scorer, but about playing with courage, growing in leadership, building self-confidence, being a humble teammate, and living with integrity both on and off the ice.
At Encounter Sports, we are committed to making these opportunities accessible to all kids and youth. Our programs are rooted in the Christian faith, beginning with a belief in Jesus, and are designed to serve the broader community by promoting personal growth, mentorship, and community engagement through sport. Encounter Sports is part of the bigger story at Heartland Alliance Church—we’re a program of the church, with our offices and much of our programming happening right on site. Everything we do is about helping people grow and thrive. Our faith-based programs are open to all kids, youth, and families, offering meaningful benefit by supporting the public good through accessible development opportunities.
Regardless of your faith or background, every kid, youth, and family is welcome here—because every athlete is a person of value, worthy of respect, safety, and support.
What kind of athlete—and what kind of person—do you want to become?
