At Encounter Sports, we believe in the whole athlete… mind, body, and spirit. It isn’t just about becoming a better athlete, but it is also about becoming a more whole person, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. The lessons, habits, skills, and passions that we learn in sports can help us live out our lives and vice versa. The way we live out our everyday lives, speaks to the type of athlete we will be.

This means that the development of one’s skill in sports is not just a physical mastery of the sport, but also a training of the mind and spirit. It is not just about being a better passer or scorer, but it is also about playing with more courage, being a leader, having a greater level of self-confidence, being a humble teammate, and living with integrity on and off the ice.
