Equipment

  • All players must wear helmets
  • U9-U15 – full face shield required
  • U18 – Visor is the minimum face protection required
  • Players need to bring their own stick
  • Gloves are highly recommended
  • Goalies must wear at minimum (protective cup, full helmet, blocker, catcher, pads, and chest protector). We will have a few loaners, but we recommend goalies bring their own equipment.

Rules

  • Points for games:

                        Wins = 3 Points

                        Ties = 2 Points

                        Losses = 1 Point

  • Face off to start gameplay.
  • Must give half after goals.
  • If a ball goes out of play, a new ball will be placed at the point of ball exit. The defending team will give five feet.
  • The opposing team must give ten feet when the goalie covers the ball.
  • All minor penalties will be penalty shots with players chasing on the whistle.
  • All major penalties (including intent to injure or fighting will result in immediate ejection).
  • Any abuse or disrespect of officials will not be tolerated.
  • Individual players will be capped at five goals maximum per game.
  • A maximum goal spread of five will be counted towards goal differential.
  • There is no overtime in round-robin play. The game will end in a tie.
  • Games are run-time except for the last three minutes of playoff games, where the clock will stop for balls out of bounds and penalty shots.
  • If a game is tied in a playoff game, it will have a sudden-death three-minute overtime followed by a shootout with three players shooting from both teams. If the game is still tied after overtime and the initial shootout, it will go to a sudden-death shootout with one player from each team shooting. No player can shoot twice until all players on the team have shot.
  • Tiebreaker in standings:

                         Most wins

                         Head to head

                         Goal differential

                         Coin toss
